Here at Ridgeway we are now stocking Bridge Slot precision perforated metal. Bridge Slot screens are specially designed for use in drying and storing all sorts of solid materials.
Our Bridge Slot Perforation is a special perforation manufactured with exacting precision. With the combination of heavy sheet thickness and very fine openings Bridge Slot provides a great resistance for filtering and ventilation.
Applications:
Bridge Slot is often used for water drainage shafts and drying.
Typical applications are:
- Drying and storing solid matters and materials of all kinds -Including herbs, tea, grain and grass seed, maize, rape seed and wood chips
- Filters for fountains and drainage
Our Bridge Slot has been created to enable a unique flow of air via the slots. This allows for a significant improvement in air circulation and reduces drying times which increases efficiency. Within the right storage and heating conditions moisture content can be significantly reduced. For example, wood chip can be reduced from an initial 50% to an ideal 18-20% in just 48 hours.
It is manufactured using mild steel between 2mm and 5mm thick. This makes the screens ideal to for use as “drive-on” flooring in large storage areas. The Bridge Slot system screens with the right support can take wide wheeled trucks for bulk loading and offloading.
Each perforated slot resembles a bridge with a slotted opening. The opening can be adjusted to suit the application. This prevents grain or wood-chip falling through the slots.
