Ridgeway are supporting Construction Safety Week in a drive towards improving safety while working at height. Construction Safety Week is being held by the Construction Industry Federation – C.I.F. www.cif.ie from 23 – 27 October 2017.
Falls from height are still one of the major causes of injury within the workplace. Since 2009 30 people have lost their lives as a result of falls from height in the construction industry. In 2015 alone, 5 people lost their lives in this manner.
The team at Ridgeway took part in the stand down for safety to stress the importance of good practice while working to ensure staff and customers are fully aware of their responsibility and the work at height regulations. We will continue to promote the importance of staying safe whilst working at height by introducing new innovative products from world class manufacturers.
